Community Development
Community Development is in our strategic plan for 2008. The mission of Community Development plans is to create a “community of opportunity” through job opportunities, job training and business development. Our goal is to facilitate and increase employment in Southern Arizona by developing and facilitation of economic enterprise for communities and individuals. OPCF will identify and implement a process for identifying economic enterprise opportunities and prioritizing them for development support. We will develop job skill development programs, small business start-up and development skills programs, build relationships with financing organizations including micro-enterprise lenders, community development finance organizations, New Market Tax Credit facilitators, Community Development Bank Services, and build relationships with other economic development organizations in the community.
