Housing Development
The mission of the Housing Development group is to create a community of housing leading to home ownership. Our goal is to produce twenty to forty, energy efficient, quality homes for working families each year. We provide housing counseling, first time buyer assistance, and renovate homes for the elderly and disabled in Pima County. Click here for more information.

Supportive Services
The mission of Old Pueblo Community Foundation Supportive Services is to provide support, guidance, and education to each individual who chooses to transform their life. Those that journey through the process and the elements of change will engage in self examination as well as innovative and invigorating activities that will allow them to reach new levels of internal fulfillment. It is recognized that each individual is comprised of unique qualities, strengths, and skills; our goal is to act as a catalyst to bring about awareness, enhance skill levels, increase knowledge and provide paths for change through supportive, caring and empowering approaches. Supportive services will aid our clients to prepare for employment and attain self-sufficiency upon discharge. Click here for more information.

Community Development
Community Development is in our strategic plan for 2008. The mission of Community Development plans is to create a “community of opportunity” through job opportunities, job training and business development. Our goal is to facilitate and increase employment in Southern Arizona by developing and facilitation of economic enterprise for communities and individuals. OPCF will identify and implement a process for identifying economic enterprise opportunities and prioritizing them for development support. We will develop job skill development programs, small business start-up and development skills programs, build relationships with financing organizations including micro-enterprise lenders, community development finance organizations, New Market Tax Credit facilitators, Community Development Bank Services, and build relationships with other economic development organizations in the community. Core Values and Beliefs

The key to creating a truly great organization is an intense focus on the values that guide its people actions. These are the Old Pueblo Community Foundation “Core Values and Beliefs”.

Commitment: We make commitments to care for our clients, and then live up to them. We do what we say we are going to do every time.

Integrity and Honesty: We are believers in the Golden Rule. In all of our dealings we will strive to be friendly and courteous, as well as fair, honest and compassionate.

Respect: We respect all individuals and believe those who are treated with respect and given responsibility always respond by giving their best.

Fun: Work is an important part of life, but we must laugh and have fun

Stewardship: We are frugal. We guard and conserve the organizations funders resources with the same vigilance that we would use to guard and conserve our own personal resources.

Sense of Urgency: We feel a sense of urgency on all matters related to our clients and employees. We take ownership of problems and are always responsive. We are client-driven and have a sincere desire for our clients’ success.

Trust: We will develop long-term relationships by earning the confidence of our clients, funders, and donors in the integrity, reliability and fairness of our organization.

Empathy: We will strive to understand what is best for our clients and employees. It is essential in creating a compassionate, supportive environment.

Success: Our employees clearly understand and commit to our mission and goals to help those people who need help. Success is measured not only in good outcomes, but in client satisfaction.

Servant Hood: We commit and serve our clients, employees and community. We are first and always servants of others sharing out time, out talents and our possessions.

Empowerment: We understand the only empowered people can reach their full potential. We, therefore, empower our employees to take responsibility, implement change and take credit for their successes.

Vision

We are convicted in our belief that building an organization upon solid ethics and morals will set us far apart from others. We will set the standard for all social service agencies and will be the model for our industry and our community. We will retain and attract top-notch employees and the success of our clients will be our major goal.
