FIRST TIME HOME BUYER PROGRAM STEPS & GUIDELINES
We continuously work in obtaining Grant money for families that need the extra help to buy their home. We work with families at any income level.
There are five steps to get assistance to buy your first home:
1. Call the OPCS office at 520/ 546-0122 ext. 204 to get information on what grants or new homes are available.
2. Request an application
3. Meet with an OPCS Housing Counselor
4. Attend an OPCS First Time Home Buyer workshop.
5. Search for the home you always wanted or buy an OPCS new home.
In order to qualify for the Old Pueblo Community Services (OPCS) First-Time Home Buyer Program, the applicant must meet the following requirements:
The “Gross” annual income for the entire family must be equal or less than:

1 person $30,800.00
2 persons $35,200.00
3 persons $39,600.00
4 persons $44,000.00
5 persons $47,500.00
6 persons $51,050.00
For families with more than 6 persons, income guidelines are available upon request.
The Applicants must be first-time home buyers, defined as a household who has not owned a home in the last three years.
The Applicants must have sufficient income and a minimum of $1,000.00 for a down payment and closing related costs.
