Housing Development

Old Pueblo Community Services is a Community Housing Development Organization (CHDO) in Pima County. The mission of the Housing Development group is to create a community of housing leading to home ownership. Our goal in 2007 is to (1) complete forty energy efficient, quality homes for working families, renovate 12 homes for the disabled and elderly, train and offer reverse mortgages to those who are facing foreclosure, and provide HUD approved housing counseling services.
The Old Pueblo Housing Development group supports a community of housing experts, leading to permanent home ownership. The American dream is for everyone to have the opportunity to own a family home. At today’s soaring real estate rates it is hard for low-income families to attain that dream. Home ownership opportunities are attainable! Old Pueblo Community Services has funding available to help with down payments, providing homebuyer education, repairs of existing homes, and construction of a brand new home. We are an equal opportunity housing agency.

Our grants vary from $2,000 up to $20,000!! In order to qualify, a family income must be no more than $30,800 for 1 person, $35,200 for a family of 2, $39,600 for a family of 3, $44,000 for a family of 4, $47,500 for a family of 5, $51,050 for a family of 6.  For families larger than six, call for income guidelines.
Five Easy Steps To Find a Home (1) Call the OPCS office at (520) 546 0122 x 204 and request an application, (2) Attend an OPCS Home Buyer Education Session, (3) Search for your new home or buy an OPCS home. We obtain grant money to help buy the home and will continue to work with the families. We will help any family at any income level.

The Old Pueblo Community Services is a HUD approved home counseling agency.
